Which bible character do you hate the most?
by Bonsai inthe more i think about it, the more i feel an extreme dislike for the apostle paul.
he was on par with hitler in his treatment of the jews before he "saw the light".
he replaced jesus teachings of love and mercy with a more legalistic, pharisaical concept of devotion to god.. any evil person can come to believe in god and worship him if the scales were literally and miraculously removed from his eyes.

Awake - February 2015: What do you know about JWs
by Designer Stubble intrue false - 8 questions1 jehovahs witnesses are christianstrue - we are the only true christians.
however, jesus is always secondary to yhwh or yahweh, who we for some reason call jehovah.2 jehovahs witnesses are creationiststrue, we are just not young-earth creationists3 jehovahs witnesses do not believe in doctorsfalse - of course we believe in doctors.
if we can believe in an invisible sky daddy, surely we can believe in the doctor standing before us in flesh and blood.

Answer 2 very dishonest (Adam and Eve are the biggest part of creationism and don't even get any mention)
Answer 8. It's utterly dishonest
Other answers range somewhere between correct and incorrect (dishonest).

The possibility of the Earth being flat, even .1 %? As early as 1522 (almost 500 years ago) the first trip around the world was successfully completed, confirming the spherical shape of the Earth. No reputable sailor or airplane pilot has contested that concept in the last 500 years. How does that leave room for any remote, tiny possibility of a flat Earth? Try traveling westward (or eastward) only, I can bet you will get home without ever turning back. -
How does Obamacare affect the Watchtower health insurance for their volunteer force in Bethel, CO, construction projects, etc
by never a jw ini just read in another thread about a co getting the pink slip.
some speculated about high health insurance cost being a possible reason for the layoffs.
it just occurred to me that the obamacare in the u.s. might be having a significant negative effect on the watchtower finances.

I Hate the Sound of the Word Jehovah
by cofty inlistening to clips of the latest manipulative video from the watchtower i realised how much i detest that word - jehovah.. sometimes i have thought it would be interesting to observe a meeting or part of a convention.
every time i heard that word i would be unable to stay in my seat.. i have a visceral reaction every time i hear it.
it stands for so much that i have contempt for.

"The Name of God and the modern Jehovah's Witnesses religion are two different things".
It's all the same: myths that make people feel good and give them purpose in life, but also converts them is arrogant fools. They are also myths that have become so popular that smart, but unscrupulous people capitalize on to exploit the innocent and the weak.
Regarding the name Jehovah, I find it entertaining how people make such a big deal out of a combination of vowels of consonants and the idea that an Almighty Creator of the universe and omniscient being, is concerned about what little humans living in a ultra tiny speck of the universe think about his name. Really?

Have a great life Eden. You and your wife are a great couple. It just surprises me that Viviane can have any influence in your life. I don't know the details of your exchanges but I know you and Viviane from your posts. Of the two of you, I see a greater problem in you for allowing to be annoyed by Viviane. Viviane is inflexible; I didn't think you were.
Life is better if you are willing to tolerate the likes of Viviane, no matter what insults they hurl against you. It's just an internet blog where our anonymity gives us license to show our true personalities. We shouldn't take anonymous insults too seriously.

The answer from my JW brother would be that they were made by human like beings (Neanderthals perhaps), but not human. First humans were Adam and Eve, end of story -

Statement about Lying in January 2015 Public Watchtower
by BluesBrother inthe online mag opens with this bold statement :.
"most people lie at least once during a ten minute conversation.
why bother trying to be different?".

It's an average of 2.92 lies in 10 minutes. So it is about one lie every three minutes. It took me less than two minutes of reading from the heading of the Watchtower article to get to the first lie, or deception in this case. I guess the Watchtower is right. So what's your beef?
Since the study included exaggerations as lies, I think JW's lie more often than the average. Have you asked JW's their opinion about the assemblies' speeches, the speakers and all presentations in general? How many lies could you count in ten minutes in this context? Or how about, "we miss you at the meeting" "we are so happy to see you", etc.
In fact, Bluesbrother lied within seconds in the opening part, it's January 2016, not 2015. The Watchtower is right again
